How do I resolve a "Returned Payment-Invalid Account" (TE) hold?

"Returned Payment-Invalid Account" (TE) holds are placed on Tuition and Fees accounts when a payment is returned for an invalid bank account. To resolve your TE hold, follow the steps below. 


  • Log in to Howdy.tamu.edu with your Net ID and password. 
  • Pay your past due tuition and fees in full at howdy.tamu.edu with a credit card/debit card (convenience fee added) or electronic check online to have your TE hold removed immediately.  
  • If you are unable to pay your account in full, please contact sbs-customer.service@tamu.edu with your plan to repay this debt and to determine options of temporary hold removal.
