In order to activate the plan, the purchaser must authorize the Texas Tuition Promise Fund to pay Texas A&M University. This authorization must be completed on the Texas Tuition Promise Fund website. Texas Tuition Promise Fund will then notify Texas A&M University that the student will be using TTPF funds to cover tuition and fees. This notification is updated weekly in a report to the school.

You can find the following information at http://texastuitionpromisefund.com/content/tips-tools/faqs#General. The contract cannot be put on the student's account without this authorization each semester. Due to a possible lag time of up to 7 days, it is highly recommended that the authorization at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class for any semesters the plan is being used.

The contract does not cover the following items:

  • Course related Educational Enhancement, Equipment Access. Lab and/or Field Trip Fees
  • Optional Fees (housing, meal plans, parking, etc.)
  • General Deposits for new, transfer, re-admitted students or ones without one on file
  • International Student Admin Fee of $200-$500 per semester charged to third party sponsored students
  • International Student Services of $46 per semester
  • International Student Insurance
  • Orientation Fees
