Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan (TGTP):
Follow the link below prior to 5:00 p.m. on the first class day for the current semester:
If you wish to use TGTP for a Summer semester, you must submit a separate authorization request for each Summer term.
The following information is needed when requesting TGTP:
- Student's UIN
- Student's Full Name
- Student's Academic Level (undergraduate, graduate, professional)
- TGTP Account Number
- The type of plan that was purchased (Junior/Senior, Private, Senior/University)
TGTP Requests are now made through your Howdy portal. Please follow the below instructions.
- Log in to your Howdy portal.
- Navigate to My Dashboard.
- Click My Requests.
- Choose TGTP Request.
- Proceed to Enter TGTP information and Student Information as prompted.
- Click Submit when done.

Using TGTP for Blinn Team:
Students must request to use their TGTP through both Blinn College and Texas A&M University.

Texas Tuition Promise Fund (TTPF):
In order to activate the plan, the purchaser must authorize the Texas Tuition Promise Fund to pay Texas A&M University. This authorization must be completed on the Texas Tuition Promise Fund website.

The contract cannot be put on the student's account without this authorization each semester.
The contract does not cover the following items:
- Course-related Educational Enhancement, Equipment Access. Lab and/or Field Trip Fees
- Optional Fees (housing, meal plans, parking, etc.)
- General Deposits for new, transfer, re-admitted students or ones without one on file
- International Student Admin Fee of $200-$500 per semester charged to Third-Party sponsored students
- International Student Services of $46 per semester
- International Student Insurance
- Orientation Fees
- Graduate Tuition and Fees
How do I authorize a payment to my child's school if they attend a Texas public college, university or community college?
The account Purchaser MUST authorize payment to an in-state Texas public college, university or community college by completing the Benefit Payment Authorization Form. This process must be completed each semester even if your child is enrolled in the same school. The Purchaser can authorize redemption of available tuition units by either of the following methods:
- From the Texas Tuition Promise Fund website (https://www.texastuitionpromisefund.com/), complete the online form found in the 'Benefits Information' section of your online account access, or
- From the Texas Tuition Promise Fund website (https://www.texastuitionpromisefund.com/), print a paper form, complete the form, and fax it to the Texas Tuition Promise Fund office at (800) 519-4652. The paper Benefit Payment Authorization form can be found under the Forms Materials section.

Other Texas Tuition Plans:
TGTP and TTPF are the only state tuition plans for the state of Texas (529 plans) that need to be set up with Student Business Services.
Private 529 Plans
All private 529 plans will need to follow the regular procedures given by the 529 plan company.
