How do I resolve a "Need Direct Deposit for Refund" (T9) hold?

"Need Direct Deposit for Refund" (T9) holds are placed when students have not signed up for direct deposit for refunds with Flywire eRefunds. To resolve your T9 hold, follow the steps below. 

  • Log in to Howdy.tamu.edu and click the NETID LOGIN button and complete the login process 
  • Once logged in, use the search bar at the top and type "payment"
  • Select Payment/Refund (Student Access) to be directed to the bill payment suite.
  • Go to the eRefunds tab, select Enroll for eRefunds
  • Fill out all required banking information and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • Click on Submit
  • Review and Confirm


T9 holds are removed overnight for students who have completed the steps above.  


Please note that T9 holds do NOT hold registration or transcripts.  The T9 hold only prevents refunds from being generated from your student account.
