Charge for Refund on Student Account

Modified on Wed, 14 Jun 2023 at 11:07 AM

Whenever you see a refund charge on your student account, it means that a refund has been generated and will be sent to Flywire for disbursement.

If you have paid the totality of your tuition and fees and know that your balance should be $0, the refund charge will show as a negative balance on your student at first. Then once the refund has been disbursed, your account will automatically adjust back to zero.

If you have an unpaid balance, the refund will be applied to pay that balance unless it is Title IV Refund that can't apply to certain charges.

Either way, a refund charge on your student account always increases your account balance first. What happens next depends on whether or not you are in good standing, meaning you don't owe any balance. The goal is always to get your account balance to the point of $0.

Some of the more common refund transactions are:

CR40 Title IV Financial Aid Refund

CRS0 Non-Title IV FinAid Auto Rfnd

CRS3 Student Account Auto Refund
