Parent PLUS Loan Refunds:
Parent PLUS loans are delivered to the university electronically, posted to the student account, and applied toward applicable charges. Any remaining credit is then refunded. During the application and approval process for the loan, parents had the option of receiving the refund directly or allowing it to be disbursed to the student. Parent PLUS loan refunds will appear on the student account with the following code and description:
Code | Description | Refund Type |
CR10, GR10 or HR10 | Title IV PLUS Loan Rfd-Std-Ck | Check issued to the student |
CR41, GR41 or HR41 | Title IV PLUS Loan Rfd-Student | Direct Deposit issued to student |
CR02, GR02 or HR02 | TitleIV PLUSLoanRfnd-Parent-Ck | Check issued to the parent |
CR42, GR42 or HR42 | Title IV PLUS Loan Rfd-Parent | Direct Deposit issued to parent |
Parent PLUS Loan Refund Checks:
Parent PLUS loan refund checks to parents (CR02/GR02/HR02) are mailed to the address provided during the application process.
Parent PLUS loan refund checks to students (CR10/GR10/HR10) are mailed to the student's address on record with the university in this order: Student Mailing, Student Permanent, Billing, and Student Local.
Delivery may take up to 7-10 business days from the date the refund appears on your student's account.
If you have not received the check after 10 business days, you may contact us at refunds@tamu.edu for assistance in having the refund reissued. If you eventually receive the original check, do not cash it.
