Using TGTP Benefits with Valedictorian Exemption

Modified on Thu, 15 Jun, 2023 at 11:40 AM

According to TGTP, the student is entitled to receive both. The valedictorian exemption has a higher priority in our student system and will credit or pay the student account first. TGTP must be manually billed after the 20th class day for the benefits covered in the student plan (for a maximum of hours the student is enrolled for the term) so the student can receive full credit for the tuition.

TGTP usually submits payment for benefits four to six weeks after an invoice has been submitted. When TGTP submits payment to the university, the student will receive full credit for the TGTP benefits. If the student account is paid in full, a refund will be issued to the student equivalent to the value of the valedictorian exemption, if the student has enough TGTP benefits to cover the enrolled hours for the term.
