Using Hazlewood cancels out any TGTP applied benefits.
The purchaser of the TGTP contract must contact the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan office in Austin to request direct reimbursement for benefits for any semester the student is using the Hazlewood exemption. Customers would be able to receive funds back from the state more timely than from the university.
Texas A&M University will not request reimbursement for TGTP customers using the Hazlewood exemption.
